I have a corgi that sheds alot. He gets brushed with a boar-bristle brush three times a week to help keep that shedding down. I was hoping these would help with the loose hair after the brushing but improvement on gathering up that loose hair seems to be minimal. Plus, the packaging is poorly designed. Once you open it, it is not resealable. The cloths have to be picked apart, they don't pop up or unroll in any way. (FURminator needs to take a lesson from the baby wipes' packaging for example.) Finally, they say the cloths are re-useable but there's no easy way to put a used, now-somewhat-covered-in fur cloth back in the package with all the nice clean cloths so you end up having to figure out where to keep it sealed so that it stays moist.

So - maybe if you have a short haired dog that doesn't shed alot, you don't plan to reuse the cloth, and you don't mind repackaging your open package of cloths into something resealable, these will work better for you.

FWIW - I do love my FURminator shedding tool, especially when my dog is blowing his coat in the Spring.
